Meet Martha, a sweet and resilient dog on a journey to find her forever home. At approximately 6 years old and weighing just 4.4 kilograms, Martha has faced hardships that no animal should ever endure. She was discovered tied up by a river, abandoned by someone who callously disregarded her well-being.
When Martha was rescued, it became evident that she had once had a home, as she had been spayed. Her journey to recovery began immediately, with a focus on her physical and emotional well-being. Martha received the necessary dental work to ensure her long-term health and comfort. Comprehensive blood work was conducted to assess her overall health, and she's been receiving the care she truly deserves.
What truly sets Martha apart is her gentle nature. She lacks a prey drive and shows no interest in causing any trouble. Her simple desire is to be loved, cherished, and cared for, just like any dog deserves. Martha's foster, Angie, describes her as an absolute sweetheart with the cutest little underbite. She is a well-behaved companion who sleeps through the night in bed with her foster family, including Coco, another small dog.
Martha is toilet trained and hasn't had a single accident in the house. She enjoys her walks, is crate trained, and has proven to be an all-around delightful companion. While she hasn't been tested with cats or children yet, Martha's adaptable and loving nature suggests that she could fit well into a variety of homes.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to Angie for fostering Martha and providing her with the love and care she deserves. Now, it's time to find Martha her forever home, where she can continue to thrive and be a cherished member of a loving family.
❣️ Please note small dogs like Martha require a little extra care, be it with Hawks, Eagles, Coyotes and some large dogs. Please ensure you are able to provide the extra level of care that a small dog requires.❣️
