Everyone loves a biscuit and this guy is no exception.
We were contacted about Biscuit by a man who said he had found him, he was going to tie him to a gate of another shelter and leave him but he was convinced to take him to the emergency vet. He ran from the vets after asking the vet to euthanize him. Sula came to get poor Biscuit from the vets and gave him the treatment he needed for Ehrlichia. He needed to wait until he had finished his medication before he could have his leg amputated (the only option due to the break) or he would have bled out. This was fully explained to the man who had wanted to put him to sleep, however he then proceeded to give Sula a negative review. Some days you just cannot win.
However Biscuit is now in a much happier place, he has been treated for Ehrlichia and he is doing amazingly well as a tripod.
He gets on well with other dogs, both male and female. He has some minor resource guarding over food but will not take it any further if the other dog backs down. This should not be an issue in a home with another dog if they are (which is always best practice) fed separately. There are also many simple positive reinforcement techniques to eliminate resource guarding.
This guy would make a wonderful addition to any family.

What does it cost to adopt a dog?
The adoption costs are $3,000 MXN for Mexican Nationals, $550 CND Canadian or $400 USD for Temporary or Permanent residents living in Mexico. Adoption costs for dogs adopted in countries other than Mexico are $750 CND or $600 US dollars. Don't forget, wherever you live, to budget for all the other things your new fur-baby will need.
