More about me...
More about me
My name is Jones. I am not a big boy, but I look like a gentle giant. The only thing I have in common with that famous character is that I am very mellow. I am only 3 years old, yet my skin made me look so much older. I have never owned a mirror, but vet’s office is full of shiny surfaces... To my dismay I caught a glimpse of my reflection, and I gasped… That cannot be me… 🪞🚫
Do you ever catch yourself denying what you see? Maybe it is the sad face, bad news, or heart-breaking picture that hits too close to home… I had this thought: what if I am seen as how I look, and not who I am… Maybe I am not everybody’s cup of tea or flavor of ice cream so do speak… Am I a pistachio or tiger-tail of the dog world? Possibly...⁉️🌎
Yet, my wounds did heal, soul did mend, and as time passes I will believe in the goodness of others. Caring hands of everyone I meet touch me gently and treat me with compassion and love. I think it’s starting… This is what HOPE feels like. And maybe, just maybe someone will see me and say: Dear boy, you got well and I am ready to bring you home to me… 💛🧡💚💙
“What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger
Just me, myself and I
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller
Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
You heard that I was starting over with someone new
They told you I was moving on, over you
You didn't think that I'd come back
I'd come back swinging
You try to break me, but you see
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger”
Stronger, 2011.
Oh, Kelly, I love your song.
Hopeful, Jones.🎵❣️
P.S. Cool thing about me is that I have webbed paws like a lab!
What does it cost to adopt me?
The adoption costs are $3,000 MXN for Mexican Nationals, $550 CND Canadian or $400 USD for Temporary or Permanent residents living in Mexico. Adoption costs for dogs adopted in countries other than Mexico are $750 CND or $600 US dollars. Don't forget, wherever you live, to budget for all the other things your new fur-baby will need.
What does the fee include?
First of all, vet blood work and check up, including all needed follow-ups, any medications needed, as well as spay or neuter by our vet. Secondly, food and care while at SULA (we love all our rescues and pour our hearts out each day to provide best life possible). Further, the vet pre-flight check up and clearance, transport to the airport, all paperwork, all vaccinations, the cost for the airline transport, and use of a kennel in transport, harness, and leash for arrival. Lastly, our endless love.
