Lucas has been at the shelter since 2020 :(

Lucas He has been with us for three years now. He was found on the street in Ixtapa in bad condition, he was skinny and has clearly been in lots of fights, possibly used as a bait dog?!

When he came to us, he was very sad, his tail never wagged and we had to gain his trust with him over time. He wasn't aggressive towards us, just very unsure and timid. Today, Lucas is a new dog, he wags his tail, he has much more confidence in people, he loves to run and play and chase the geckos and he walks well on a leash.

Lucas has clearly been through a lot and he deserves a home with a family or person of his own. A home with no other dogs is preferred, or only female dogs, no cats. He is good with respectful children.

What does it cost to adopt a dog?
The adoption costs are $3,000 MXN for Mexican Nationals, $550 CND Canadian or $400 USD for Temporary or Permanent residents living in Mexico. Adoption costs for dogs adopted in countries other than Mexico are $750 CND or $600 US dollars. Don't forget, wherever you live, to budget for all the other things your new fur-baby will need.
