DOG
SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
All animals deserve a happy home.
Unfortunately, not all rescue dogs
will find one with a family...
At the shelter, we have dogs that are simply not going to get adopted; the older dogs, the dogs with long-term health issues, ongoing emotional issues, and other special needs.
We also have dogs that may be ready one day for adoption, but that have hurdles, are puppies not yet ready for adoption, or have medical needs before they will be ready for their forever family.
These are dogs that still deserve to live the best life they can. SULA is committed to no-kill and supporting these pups even if their forever home (short or long term) is at SULA.
The challenge is that these dogs have ongoing expenses that need to be covered to allow us to keep the doors open and help these dogs who so desperately need and deserve our help, love, and hope.
You will receive a certificate of the specific dog you chose to sponsor, with a brief description of them and then monthly updates on their progress and any major change. You can also opt to be recognized on any posts we make about your sponsored dog and in our monthly thank you to our sponsors, this is your choice.
Once the pet is adopted, we will notify you of the wonderful news, and if available we will send you a photo of the dog with its forever family. From there, you will be able to read any updates about the dog on our Facebook Page, or Friends of SULA Facebook Group, and see how they are transitioning into their new home.
Check out the current dogs we have that need a sponsor to either help them until they are ready for adoption or who need a sponsor to help them live their best lives at SULA.
To all our sponsors and donors, who we consider unsung heroes,
Thank you.
Zellia
Hello World,
Thank you for reading my story. As a rescue dog my story resembles a road full of bumps and potholes. You cannot see its beginning, yet it is there, past the horizon and around the bend by the broken tree. Hole here, worm there, the beauty of the country side is dimmed by the feeling of loneliness… Unwanted and uncared for – that is often the story of the homeless dogs in Mexico. 😟🐕🐶🐩
I continue to walk the road of survival, as I gain strength at the Sula Society. Rescue dog title is not my breed or crutch. It is the testament to the good in this world that lives beside the big pothole up the hill where indifference hides… I come to you from the shadows of neglect… I open my heart to everyone I meet and learn to trust the caring hands that pet me. 🛣️🕶️👐💕
I am ready to live with joy and learn where this road called life will bring me. I hope it will guide me to someone I can love and call mine. 🥰
Sending my love, Zellia
